Apply knowledge in projects, a priority for UVAQ’s Engineering Schools

Morelia, Michoacán. November 17th, 2015. UVAQ Santa Maria Campus.- Schools of Industrial Engineering in Processes and Services, Computer Systems Engineering and Mechatronic Engineering had their Academic Days, an interdisciplinary dynamic experience that allows students to consolidate acquired knowledge through practice with the preparation and presentation of projects. 

"We seek identity and that young people show commitment to their career, experiencing knowledge through practice. We want students to demonstrate their talent in the face of challenges presented to them through Insect Creation Contests and the presentation of quality projects. Similarly, it provides teachers with an opportunity to enrich their knowledge and experience, which sometimes cannot be done in the classroom and is an important part of their professions", explained Aldo Israel Monroy Sandoval, Director of UVAQ’s Engineering Schools.

Around one hundred and sixty students with intersemestral activities took part in these Academic Days. In addition, there were lectures and workshops on Lean Manufacturing, Excel Applied to Engineering, Six Sigma, Simulation, OrCAD/Multisim, Ethical Hacking, Renewable Energy, PLC and Linux.
