CONDUIT BENDING

This class will train the students to bend conduit and give them the practical training they need to become an effective apprentice regarding running conduit. The student will learn how to identify components; they will become proficient with standard bends, 90 degrees, offsets, 3-bend saddles, 4-bend saddles and kick-styles bends. He/she will learn how to handle a variety of tools, a drill, right angle drill, screw gun, hammer drill. Saw-zall, Chicago Hydraulic Bender and other common tools necessary to complete the job.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:

Upon completion of this class, the student should have practical skills to allow him/her to be an effective electrical apprentice regarding running conduit. He/she should be able to identify components, so he/she can do store runs or pull items from stock. He/she should be familiar with a pipe bender, they should be proficient at a variety of bends, and they should be able to run a conduit from point a, to point b. The students will also become familiar with a variety of tools necessary to complete the task, including a drill, right angle drill, screw gun, hammer drill, saw-zall, Chicago Hydraulic Bender and other common tools necessary to get the job done.
